How to use this tool

Give your next posts a place in a feed you are proud to share. Add up to 30 photos, arrange the images in a three-column grid and adjust each crop to bring colors, subjects and product shots together. Download a PNG preview to share with your team and a numbered posting plan that tells you which photo to publish first.

  1. 01

Add the photos you want to plan

Choose your upcoming post images in JPG, PNG or WebP format. To plan around current content, add photos from published posts and mark each one as already published.

  2. 02

Arrange the grid and refine each crop

Drag photos into position or use the arrow buttons beneath each tile. Switch between portrait and square previews, then select photos to adjust the crop position and zoom.

  3. 03

Save your layout and posting order

Download the PNG grid for review or sharing. Save the CSV posting order and follow the numbers from 1 upward when publishing the planned images.

See the whole feed alongside the individual photos

A product close-up, a lifestyle photo and a behind-the-scenes shot can each look great individually. The grid helps you compare neighboring colors, spread out similar images and place detailed photos beside simpler compositions. For a product launch, try alternating product shots with photos showing the product in everyday use.

Build your next layout around published posts

Add photos from existing posts and mark each one as already published. These images appear after planned photos, giving the next additions a visual context. Compare how new colors and subjects connect with recent content when introducing a collection, changing a seasonal theme or preparing the next week's posts.

Frame each photo for the layout you want

Choose portrait or square preview and refine each photo individually. Move the crop to keep a face, product or important detail in view, and adjust the zoom to control how much appears. Review the full grid again after cropping to check the relationship between each image and its neighbors.

Turn your chosen layout into a clear publishing plan

Save a PNG showing the visual layout and a CSV listing filenames alongside posting numbers. Share the PNG for feedback on the overall look, and keep the CSV with your content notes to match original images with the plan. Published photos are labeled separately for easy reference.

Frequently asked questions

What is an Instagram feed planner?

An Instagram Feed Planner lets you arrange photos in a profile-style grid before publishing. SocQ brings photo ordering, crop previews and posting numbers together, helping you choose both a coordinated layout and a practical publishing sequence.

How can I preview photos alongside existing posts?

Add photos from your published posts and mark each one as already published, then add upcoming images. The planner groups new photos before published ones, keeping recent content in view while you arrange the next additions.

Which photo should I publish first?

Follow Post order starting at 1. In this planner, the top-left tile represents the newest planned photo and receives the highest number. For six new images, the preview reads 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1; the CSV lists publishing order from 1 upward.

Can I preview portrait and square layouts?

Yes. Choose portrait for 3:4 tiles or square for 1:1 tiles. Switching between the options helps you compare framing and overall composition for the same group of photos.

How do I adjust an individual photo crop?

Select the photo and open the crop settings. Drag the preview or use position and zoom controls; the grid updates so you can compare the framing with surrounding images.

How many photos and which formats can I use?

Include up to 30 photos in one plan, counting new and published images together. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP files, with each photo up to 20 MB.

Can I arrange the grid on my phone?

Yes. Add photos from the phone and use the arrows beneath each tile to change order. Tap a photo to edit the crop and use View grid preview to jump to the planned layout.

What files do I get when saving the plan?

Download the complete grid as a PNG and the filenames with posting numbers as a CSV. Use the image to discuss the visual design and the spreadsheet as a reference while preparing the posts.
