How to use this tool

  1. 01

    Choose your photo

Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP, or try the example image to see how each size looks.

  2. 02

    Pick sizes and framing

Select one or several formats. Drag the photo to adjust the crop, or choose Keep the whole photo and pick a border color.

  3. 03

    Download your images

Choose JPG or PNG. Download one image, or get every selected size in a ZIP with the dimensions in each filename.

Preview the crop before you post

A tall Story and a wide LinkedIn image show different parts of the same photo. Every selected format has its own preview, so you can see the framing before downloading. Drag a preview to move the photo, then use Adjust crop for zoom and exact positioning.

Choose a crop or keep the complete photo

Fill the frame creates an edge-to-edge image. Keep the whole photo fits the complete image inside the selected size and fills the extra space with your chosen color. It is useful for product photos, artwork and screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

What is a social media image resizer?

A social media image resizer changes a photo to the dimensions you want for a post, Story or cover. SocQ lets you choose several sizes, preview the crop and download finished JPG or PNG files individually or in a ZIP.

How do I resize a photo for Instagram?

Upload your photo and select Instagram portrait, Square or Stories / Reels. Choose Fill the frame for an edge-to-edge crop, or Keep the whole photo to add space around it. Check the preview and download your chosen format.

How do I keep the whole photo when resizing?

Choose Keep the whole photo under How should the photo fit. The complete image stays visible inside your selected dimensions. Choose a background color for the extra space, then compare the preview before downloading.

Can I resize one image for several platforms at once?

Yes. Select several size checkboxes and you will see a preview for each one. Download individual images or use Download as ZIP to get them together. Each filename includes its size so you can pick the right file when posting.

How do I enter a custom image size?

Select Set your own size and enter the width and height in pixels. Choose whole numbers from 64 to 4096. The preview updates when both values are ready, and your custom size joins the other selected images in the ZIP.

Should I choose JPG or PNG?

JPG is a practical choice for photos and compact files. PNG is useful for artwork, screenshots and images with sharp text. Choose the format, check your crop, then download the image for your post.
