See the finished grid before publishing

The preview shows how the tiles join across three columns. Choose a layout that keeps the subject in view, then adjust the crop as one complete picture. All exported tiles use the same crop so the picture stays consistent.

Use numbered files to follow the posting order

File 01 is the bottom-right tile. Continue through the numbered files so the top-left tile is published last. Open your profile as you publish to check the layout, including any pinned posts or profile-grid adjustments.

Frequently asked questions

What is an Instagram grid maker?

An Instagram grid maker splits one image into separate tiles for multiple profile posts. When arranged together, those posts form a larger picture. SocQ previews the complete grid and downloads the tiles with numbers showing the publishing order.

How do I split a photo into nine Instagram posts?

Upload your photo, select 3 × 3 under Grid layout and choose a tile shape. Adjust the framing in the large preview, download the ZIP and extract the nine images. Follow the filenames when publishing.

Which image do I post first?

Begin with file 01, the tile at the bottom right of the preview. Publish the other files in ascending order. The final file is the top-left tile. Check your profile as you go so you can confirm how it appears with your existing posts.

Should I choose square or portrait tiles?

Choose the shape that works with the profile layout you want to create. The tool provides 3:4 portrait, 4:5 portrait and square tiles. Compare the preview and check your Instagram profile display when planning the final arrangement.

How do I keep the subject centered?

Drag the image in the large preview or open Adjust crop for horizontal position, vertical position and zoom. Watch how the grid lines cross the subject, then choose the framing you want before downloading.

How do I download the full grid?

Use Download images as ZIP to get every tile in one file. Extract the ZIP to access the numbered PNG images. Individual tile download buttons are also available when you want to save one specific part.
