How to use this tool

Turn your prepared comment list into a clear, reviewable draw. Paste entries or import a CSV, choose whether each username receives one entry, and apply your keyword and account filters. The Random Comment Picker shows the eligible pool before drawing one to twenty winners and provides copy and CSV options for recording the result.

  1. 01

    Add the prepared comment entries

Paste usernames and comment text or import a CSV/TXT file. Use username and comment column headings when preparing a structured list.

  2. 02

    Review the eligible pool

Choose username deduplication, enter an optional required keyword and list accounts to exclude. Set the winner count and review the eligible-entry total before drawing.

  3. 03

    Draw and record the result

Pick the winners, review the displayed entries and save the result by copying or downloading CSV. Keep the source list and rules with the draw record.

Prepare a list that reflects your published rules

Collect the entries you intend to include and organize usernames with their comment text. Apply any external eligibility checks in your source preparation workflow, then use the picker to review and draw from that prepared set. Keeping the source and rule definition together makes the process easier to explain later.

Decide how repeated usernames should count

Username deduplication gives one retained entry to each normalized username in the filtered pool. With deduplication turned off, individual eligible entries form the draw pool. Choose the setting that matches the way the activity was described and review the eligible count after applying filters.

Inspect filters before starting the draw

The keyword filter checks comment text, while the excluded-account field removes the listed usernames from the eligible pool. Review the visible preview and counts to confirm the combination matches your intended setup. The preview shows up to one hundred entries while the count represents the complete prepared pool.

Keep a clear record of the random selection

The draw selects entries from the eligible pool using cryptographic random values and removes each selected entry before choosing the next. Save the result with the draw time and eligible count. Keep the original prepared list and settings as context when sharing the outcome.

Frequently asked questions

What is a random comment picker?

A Random Comment Picker selects winners from a prepared set of comment entries. SocQ provides username and keyword filters, an eligible-pool preview and copy or CSV records of the draw.

How do I prepare comments for the picker?

Paste one entry per line or import a CSV with username and comment columns. Keep the source list aligned with your activity rules and review the parsed entries before drawing.

How does username deduplication work?

The filter normalizes usernames and keeps the first eligible entry for each one. Use that setting when the activity gives each username one place in the draw pool.

Can I require a word in the comment?

Yes. Enter the keyword and review the updated eligible pool. The text check is case-insensitive, helping you select entries containing the required wording.

How do I exclude an account?

Add the usernames to the excluded-account field, separated by spaces or commas. Review the eligible total and preview after the account filter is applied.

How many entries and winners can I use?

Prepare up to 10,000 source entries and choose one to twenty winners. The eligible pool must contain enough entries for the winner count you select.

How are the winners chosen?

The picker uses cryptographic random values to select from the eligible entries. Selected entries are removed for the current draw before choosing the next winner.

How do I save the draw outcome?

Copy the result or download the winner CSV. Keep the draw time, eligible count, original prepared list and rule settings together for a clear record.
