How to use this tool

To create a signature online, type your name to see it in six handwritten styles at once, or switch to Draw and sign with a mouse, trackpad or finger. Pick the ink color and download a tightly cropped transparent PNG that sits cleanly on contracts, PDF forms, invoices, letters and email footers. Everything is created on your device.

    Type or draw

    With Method set to Type, enter your name to see six styles. Switch to Draw to sign on the pad with a mouse, trackpad, finger or stylus. Your drawing stays on the pad when you switch between Type and Draw.

    Choose the ink

    Pick an Ink color; dark blue and black look the most natural on documents, and the signature recolors instantly. In Draw mode, set the pen Size and use Undo or Redo (up to 100 steps) to tidy strokes.

    Click PNG for a transparent background or JPG for white. The image is cropped to the signature with a little padding, at three times the pad’s resolution.

Using your signature

• PDF: in Adobe Acrobat Reader use Fill & Sign › Add signature › Image; on a Mac, Preview’s Markup toolbar can add it too • Word and Google Docs: Insert › Image, then set text wrapping to “In front of text” • Email: add the PNG to your email signature in Gmail or Outlook settings A transparent PNG lets the signing line and text show through.

Electronic signatures and the law

Electronic signatures are widely recognized, for example under the US ESIGN Act and the EU’s eIDAS regulation, when the signer intends to sign. Your signature image works for documents that accept an image signature; for agreements that call for a certified digital signature, add it through your e-signature platform.

Private by design

Your name and drawing stay in your browser, and the signature image is created on your device. The handwriting styles load the first time you type. Keep your signature file somewhere safe, as you would a physical signature.

Which ink color should I use?

Dark blue or black. Blue makes it easy to tell a signed original from a copy.

Is an electronic signature legal?

In many countries, including the US and the EU, electronic signatures are legally recognized for most agreements. Check what your specific document requires.

Can I change the color after signing?

Yes. Change Ink color at any time; typed styles and drawn strokes update instantly.

Are my name and signature saved?

No. Nothing is uploaded or stored; refreshing the page clears everything.
