How to use this tool

This free online whiteboard opens instantly in your browser, so you can start sketching right away with no account. Draw with a pen, highlighter and eraser, drag out lines, arrows, rectangles and ellipses on a white, grid, dot or dark board, undo up to 100 steps, and save the board as a 1600 × 900 PNG for a video call, a YouTube storyboard, a lesson or a content plan.

  1. 01

  3. 03

    Save the board

Click PNG to download whiteboard.png, a 1600 × 900 image of the board with its background, for slides, chats or notes.

Click PNG to download the board as a 1600 × 900 image, background included.

Can I draw straight lines and shapes?

Yes. Choose Line, Arrow, Rectangle or Ellipse and drag across the board.

Can I undo?

Yes. Use Undo and Redo, or Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y (⌘ on a Mac). The last 100 steps are kept, and even Clear can be undone.

Does it work on an iPad or phone?

In your browser tab on your device. Download the PNG to keep a copy.

Can I use a dark board?

Yes. Choose Dark; the default ink switches to white so it stands out.
