How to use this tool
A logo in the corner keeps your name on a clip when it’s reposted or downloaded. This tool overlays an image such as a transparent PNG on the whole video, sized as a percentage of the video width, with adjustable opacity and position. The original sound and resolution stay the same.
- 01
Add the video and your logo
Click Choose files for the video, then click Choose logo image and pick a PNG, WebP or JPG. A PNG or WebP with a transparent background looks cleanest.
- 02
Size and place the watermark
Set Logo width (%) relative to the video width, Opacity (%) from 0 to 100, and Horizontal and Vertical position (%). Entering 100% for both positions puts the logo in the bottom-right corner.
- 03
Create and download
Click Create file, check the logo on light and dark scenes, then click Download to save watermarked.mp4.
Why watermark your videos
• Keep credit when clips are reposted without a tag • Brand product demos and tutorials consistently • Mark drafts or previews before final approval • Add a channel logo or handle to every export
Watermark settings explained
• Logo width (%): the logo’s width as a share of the video width; height follows the logo’s proportions • Opacity (%): 100 is solid, 0 is invisible, and 30–60 gives a subtle mark • Horizontal / Vertical position (%): 0 is the left or top edge, 50 the center, 100 the right or bottom edge • The logo stays inside the frame for the whole video
Tips for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
• Avoid the bottom and right edges, where usernames, captions and buttons sit • A top corner, such as 5% and 5%, stays visible in most apps • Keep the logo small, around 10–20% of the width, so it doesn’t distract • Use a white or light logo on dark footage and test bright scenes
Formats and limits
• Video: MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, AVI and other common formats, up to 100 MB and 10 minutes • Logo: PNG, WebP or JPG; JPG has no transparency, so its background shows as a box • One image watermark, fixed in place for the whole clip; no moving, tiled or text watermarks • Output: MP4 at the original resolution with the original sound • Speed depends on your device; the first run downloads the video engine once
Frequently asked questions
What is an add watermark to video tool?
It’s a tool that places a logo or mark on top of every frame of a video so viewers can see who made it. This one overlays your image at the size, opacity and position you set and exports a new MP4, leaving the original file unchanged.
How do I add a watermark to a video for free?
1. Click Choose files and pick your video. 2. Click Choose logo image and pick your logo. 3. Set Logo width (%), Opacity (%) and the two position values. 4. Click Create file, then click Download.
How do I make the watermark transparent?
Lower Opacity (%) to make the whole logo see-through; around 40–60% keeps it visible without covering the picture. For a logo without a white box around it, use a PNG or WebP that already has a transparent background.
How do I put the logo in the bottom-right corner?
Set Horizontal position to 100% and Vertical position to 100%. The tool keeps the logo inside the frame, so it sits flush with the corner; try 95% for each value if you want a small margin.
Can I add a text watermark instead of a logo?
This tool only uses an image file. Save your name or handle as a PNG first, or use SocQ’s Add Text to Video tool, which places a line of text in the color and position you choose.
Is it free, and does SocQ add its own watermark?
Yes, it’s free and needs no account. The only mark on the exported video is the logo you supply; SocQ doesn’t add a watermark, logo or credit of its own.
Are my video and logo uploaded?
No. FFmpeg runs inside your browser and combines the files on your device, so neither the video nor the logo is sent to SocQ. The video engine is downloaded once on first use and then reused.
What formats and file sizes are supported?
Videos can be MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, AVI and other common formats up to 100 MB and 10 minutes, and logos can be PNG, WebP or JPG. The result is an H.264 MP4 with AAC audio at the source resolution.
Can I watermark a video on my phone?
Yes. The page works in current mobile browsers, and you can choose both the clip and the logo from your photo library. The encoding runs on the phone, so longer videos take more time than on a computer.
Can a watermark stop people from stealing my video?
A visible watermark makes reposting without credit harder and shows where the clip came from, but it can still be cropped or blurred out. Placing the logo nearer the center or raising the opacity makes removal harder, at the cost of a busier picture.
