How to use this tool
An audiogram is a short video that pairs audio with an animated sound wave, which helps podcast and voice clips stand out in video feeds. Upload a clip, write a headline and pick two colors; the tool builds a 1080 × 1080 MP4 in your browser with FFmpeg. The video lasts as long as your audio, up to 10 minutes.
- 01
Click Choose files and add your clip
Select an audio file or a video with sound; a short highlight usually works best. Files can be up to 100 MB and 10 minutes.
- 02
Fill in Headline and pick colors
Type the episode name or a short quote in Headline. Choose a Background color and a Text and waveform color with strong contrast.
- 03
Click Process audio and download the MP4
Rendering video takes longer than audio-only tools. Play the result to check the text and waveform, then click Download.
What the video looks like
• Square 1080 × 1080 frame at 15 frames per second • A solid background with a centered line waveform that moves with the sound • Your headline in the upper part of the frame, with a thin dark outline • Text and waveform share one color
Writing a headline that fits
• Text wraps to fit the frame and shrinks if it’s long • Short headlines of a few words stay large and readable • The built-in font covers English and Chinese characters • The headline can’t be left empty
Where to post it
• Instagram feed posts and carousels, which show 1:1 video well • LinkedIn and X feeds • Facebook posts as a square video • Reels, Stories or TikTok, where the square video shows with space above and below
Limits
• One audio file per video, up to 10 minutes and 100 MB • No captions, logos or background images • Square format only • Output is MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio
Frequently asked questions
What is an audiogram?
An audiogram is a video made from audio, usually a moving waveform and a title over a background. Podcasters use them to share clips on platforms that expect video. This maker turns your audio into a square MP4 audiogram.
How do I make an audiogram?
1. Click Choose files and select your audio clip. 2. Type a Headline and choose the two colors. 3. Click Process audio. 4. Watch the MP4 and click Download.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. The video is rendered by FFmpeg inside your browser and saved to your device. The tool downloads the FFmpeg engine once, plus a font file for the headline, from a public CDN, but your audio stays local.
Is the audiogram maker free, and is there a watermark?
It’s free, and the video contains only your audio, headline and colors, with no SocQ logo. Clips can be up to 10 minutes long, though short highlights tend to work better in social feeds.
What format and size is the audiogram video?
The result is an MP4 at 1080 × 1080 pixels and 15 frames per second, with H.264 video and AAC audio at 128 kbps. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and TikTok all accept this format.
Does it add captions or subtitles?
No. The video shows one headline, not word-by-word captions. To add captions, open the MP4 in a video editor or use the social app’s own captions feature.
Can I make a vertical 9:16 audiogram for Reels or TikTok?
Not directly; the output is always square. You can still upload it to Reels or TikTok, where it appears with space above and below, or place it on a 9:16 canvas in a video editor.
How long should my audiogram be?
Keep it short enough that viewers hear one complete idea, such as a single quote or answer. The tool accepts up to 10 minutes, but longer videos take more time to render, especially on phones.
Why did I get an error about the headline?
The Headline field can’t be empty. If the text is too long to fit even at the smallest size, the tool asks for a shorter caption. Cut it down to a short phrase and try again.
Can I make an audiogram on my phone?
Yes, in current mobile browsers. Video rendering is heavy, so a one-minute clip takes noticeably longer on a phone than on a computer, and very long files may fail on devices with little memory.
