How to use this tool

Front-camera selfies often come out reversed, and a product facing the wrong way can pull eyes off your layout. This flip image tool mirrors up to 20 images horizontally or vertically and keeps their exact width and height. It’s useful for creators fixing selfies, designers balancing compositions and sellers matching product angles.

  1. 01

    Choose your images

Click Choose files or drag in up to 20 JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF images, each up to 30 MB and 40 megapixels.

  2. 02

    Pick a direction

Open Direction and choose Horizontal to swap left and right, the classic mirror image, or Vertical to swap top and bottom.

  3. 03

    Check the result and download

The result updates when you change Direction. Check the preview, then click Download or Download ZIP to save the files.

Horizontal or vertical: which to use

• Horizontal mirrors left to right; use it to fix reversed selfies or make a subject face into your layout • Vertical mirrors top to bottom; use it for reflection effects or upside-down patterns • Both keep the original width and height • To apply both, add the downloaded image again and flip it in the other direction

Check details after flipping

Mirroring reverses everything in the picture, not just the subject. • Text, logos and jersey numbers read backward • Watches, buttons and hair parts switch sides • Product packaging may look wrong to customers who know the real item • Review the preview before you post

Output and limits

• JPG uploads are saved as JPG (90% quality) and other formats as PNG, named like photo-flip.png • Transparent areas in PNG or WebP files stay transparent • Up to 20 images per batch, all flipped in the same direction • EXIF data isn’t carried over to the new files

Frequently asked questions

What is a flip image tool?

A flip image tool creates a mirror copy of a picture, either left to right or top to bottom. SocQ’s tool flips up to 20 images at a time in your browser and saves them at the original size (JPG stays JPG, other formats save as PNG).

How do I flip an image?

1. Click Choose files and select your images. 2. In Direction, choose Horizontal or Vertical. 3. Check the live result. 4. Click Download, or Download ZIP for the whole batch.

What is the difference between horizontal and vertical flip?

Horizontal flip swaps the left and right sides, like looking in a mirror. Vertical flip swaps the top and bottom, like a reflection in water. Neither one changes the width or height.

How do I un-mirror a selfie?

Front cameras often save selfies as a mirror image, so text on your shirt reads backward. Upload the selfie, keep Direction on Horizontal, and the result shows the true orientation.

Is flipping the same as rotating 180 degrees?

No. A vertical flip mirrors the image, so text is upside down and reversed. A 180° rotation turns the picture without mirroring it, so text is upside down but still reads in the right order. Use SocQ’s Rotate Image Tool for rotation.

Can I flip both horizontally and vertically?

Not in one pass, because Direction takes one option at a time. Flip the image horizontally, download the result, then add it again and flip it vertically. Doing both gives the same result as a 180° rotation.

What format is the flipped image?

A JPG upload is saved as a JPG at 90% quality, and PNG, WebP or AVIF uploads are saved as PNG. Both keep the original width and height, and PNG keeps transparency with no compression loss.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Flipping happens in your browser on your device, so your images aren’t sent to SocQ’s servers. Closing the tab clears them along with the results.

Is the flip image tool free?

Yes. You can flip images without an account, and the downloads carry no watermark. Process as many batches of up to 20 images as you need.

Will flipping a photo reduce its quality?

Hardly. The pixels are mirrored exactly. PNG, WebP and AVIF uploads are saved as lossless PNG, so no detail is lost; a JPG is saved again as JPG at 90% quality, which can add slight compression loss.
