How to use this tool
Many creators guess a number when a brand asks for their rate, then realize later that editing, revisions and ad usage weren’t covered. This calculator builds a quote from your actual work, multiplying your hourly cost by hours and deliverables, then adds flat fees for revisions, usage rights and exclusivity. It’s for creators and UGC makers preparing a rate card, and for managers who need a quick, itemized number before replying to a brief.
- 01
Enter your hourly cost and hours
Put what an hour of your work is worth in Hourly production cost, then the time one piece takes in Hours per deliverable. Count scripting, filming, editing, posting and brand emails, not just shooting.
- 02
Add deliverables and extra fees
Enter how many posts or videos the brand wants in Deliverables. Then fill Revision fee, Usage rights fee and Exclusivity fee as flat totals for the deal, entering 0 for any that don’t apply.
- 03
Calculate and send your quote
Select Calculate to see Quote estimate and Production cost with the full formula. Select Copy to paste the breakdown into your reply or rate card.
How the influencer rate calculator works
Quote = hourly cost × hours per deliverable × deliverables + revision fee + usage rights fee + exclusivity fee. The first part is your production cost; the three fees are added on top as flat amounts. Worked example: $60 an hour × 5 hours × 3 Instagram Reels = $900 production. Add $100 for an extra revision round, $300 for 30 days of ad usage and $0 exclusivity, and the quote is $1,300.
Setting your hourly cost and hours
Your hourly cost should cover your time plus overhead such as equipment, software, props and travel. For hours, time a typical piece from first idea to final report: • Concept and script • Filming and reshoots • Editing, captions and thumbnails • Posting, community replies and performance reporting • Calls and emails with the brand If deliverables differ a lot, such as one YouTube video and three Stories, run them separately and add the totals.
Pricing usage rights, exclusivity and revisions
Usage rights let a brand reuse your content outside your own post, for example in paid ads, on its website or in email, usually for a set period. Exclusivity means you agree not to work with competing brands for a period, which can cost you other deals. Revisions are edit rounds beyond what your quote includes. Some creators price these as a percentage of the production cost; this tool takes flat amounts, so convert first: 25% of $400 is $100.
Sanity-check the quote against your audience
This calculator prices your work and rights; it doesn’t look at followers, views or engagement. Before sending, compare the total with what your audience delivers. Dividing the quote by your average views per post and multiplying by 1,000 gives a cost per 1,000 views: a $750 quote on posts averaging 25,000 views is $30 per 1,000 views. If that looks far off what brands in your niche pay, adjust hours, fees or scope.
Frequently asked questions
What is an influencer rate calculator?
An influencer rate calculator helps a creator decide what to charge for sponsored content. This one builds a quote from your hourly cost, hours per deliverable and number of deliverables, then adds revision, usage rights and exclusivity fees. It shows the total quote and the production cost separately.
How much should I charge for a sponsored post?
There’s no universal rate, because pricing depends on platform, niche, audience size, engagement and what the brand gets to do with the content. A solid starting point is to cover your production time and costs, then add fees for usage rights and exclusivity. Compare the result with your average views or past deals before you send it.
How do I calculate my influencer rate?
1. Decide what one hour of your work costs, including overhead. 2. Estimate the hours one deliverable takes from concept to reporting. 3. Multiply by the number of deliverables. 4. Add flat fees for extra revisions, usage rights and exclusivity. For example, $50 × 4 × 2 + $50 + $200 + $100 = $750.
Does the calculator use follower count or engagement rate?
No. It’s a cost-based calculator, so it prices the work and rights in a deal rather than estimating your market value from audience size. Use it alongside your follower count, average views and engagement rate when you negotiate, and raise your hourly cost if your audience is worth more than your time suggests.
How should I charge for usage rights?
Charge separately whenever a brand wants to reuse your content beyond your own post, for example in paid ads or on its website. Price it by how long and where it will be used: 30 days of organic reposting is usually worth less than 6 months of paid ads. Enter the agreed amount in Usage rights fee.
What is an exclusivity fee for influencers?
An exclusivity fee compensates you for agreeing not to promote competing brands for a set period, such as no other skincare brands for 60 days. Because it can block other paid deals, longer or broader exclusivity should cost more. Enter the total in Exclusivity fee, or 0 if the brand doesn’t ask for it.
Should influencers charge for revisions?
Many creators include one round of revisions in the base price and charge for extra rounds, because every round adds editing time. State in your quote how many revisions are included. Enter the cost of any additional rounds you expect in Revision fee, or 0 if none.
How do I price a package of several posts?
Enter the number of pieces in Deliverables, and the calculator multiplies your hours and hourly cost by that count. It assumes each deliverable takes the same time, so for mixed formats, such as one YouTube video plus three TikToks, calculate each format separately and add the quotes together.
Are my rates and fees stored or shared?
No. The calculation runs in your browser with the numbers you type, and your rates aren’t uploaded to a server or shared with brands. Select Clear to empty the fields after you’ve copied your quote.
Is the influencer rate calculator free?
Yes. It’s free to use with no signup, login or download. Enter your numbers, select Calculate and test as many pricing scenarios as you need.
