How to use this tool
Merging GIFs here means playing them one after another in a single file, not side by side. Pick two or more GIFs, put them in order and choose an output width; SocQ fits every clip into the same frame and joins them into one looping GIF.
- 01
Select all your GIFs at once
Click Choose files and pick 2 to 20 GIFs together, because choosing again replaces the list. Each file can be up to 100 MB, and all of them together up to 200 MB.
- 02
Set the order and width
The numbered list is the playback order. Click a file’s up arrow to move it earlier or its X to remove it, then enter a Width (px) from 16 to 1920.
- 03
Create file and download
Click Create file. The merged gif-merge.gif plays each animation once in order and then loops; check the transitions and click Download.
How the merged frame size is set
• Width: the value you enter, from 16 to 1920 px • Height: calculated from the first GIF’s proportions • Other GIFs: scaled to fit inside that frame without stretching • Different shapes: leftover space is filled with black bars, so put the GIF whose shape matters most first
Ideas for merged GIFs
• Step-by-step tutorials built from several short screen recordings • Before-and-after sequences for products or designs • A forward GIF followed by its reversed copy for a boomerang loop • A short highlight reel of reaction GIFs
Merge limits
• 2 to 20 GIFs per merge, each up to 100 MB and 4 million pixels per frame • Up to 200 MB of files and 60 seconds of combined animation • Every file must be a .gif • The whole result shares one 128-color palette, so very colorful mixes may show banding
Privacy and processing
All GIFs are read and joined in your browser with FFmpeg, and none of them are uploaded to SocQ. The first merge downloads the video engine, and your browser cache handles later runs.
Frequently asked questions
What is a merge GIFs tool?
A merge GIFs tool joins several animated GIFs into one file that plays them back to back. You get a single GIF to post or share instead of separate clips, and the combined animation loops as one piece.
How do I merge GIFs?
1. Click Choose files and select all the GIFs at once. 2. Use the up arrows to put them in order. 3. Enter a Width (px) for the result. 4. Click Create file, then click Download.
How do I change the order of the GIFs?
Each file in the numbered list has an up arrow. Click it to swap that GIF with the one above, and repeat until the order is right. The number before each name is its position in the merged GIF.
Can I add more GIFs later?
Choosing files again replaces the whole list instead of adding to it. Select every GIF you want in a single pick, up to 20 at a time, and remove extras with the X button.
What if my GIFs have different sizes?
The first GIF sets the shape of the frame. Every other GIF is scaled to fit inside it and centered, with black bars filling any leftover space, so nothing is cropped or stretched.
Can I place GIFs side by side?
No. This tool joins GIFs in time, so one plays after another in the same frame. Side-by-side, stacked or grid layouts aren’t supported here.
Are my GIFs uploaded to a server?
No. Every GIF is processed by FFmpeg in your browser tab and stays on your device. Only the engine files come from a CDN, and only on the first run.
Is merging GIFs free, without a watermark?
Yes. Merging is free without an account, and the combined GIF has no watermark, intro frame or logo added between your clips.
What are the limits for merging GIFs?
You can merge 2 to 20 GIFs with a combined length of up to 60 seconds. Each file can be up to 100 MB and 4 million pixels per frame, and all files together up to 200 MB. Width accepts 16–1920 px.
Why is the merged GIF so large?
The result contains every frame from every source GIF, so its size adds up quickly. Lower the Width, merge fewer or shorter clips, or run the merged file through a GIF compressor to cut frames and colors.
For developers
Gather public social content in one place
SocQ APIs fetch public posts, videos and comments from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn so you can review them side by side in your own tools. The data is public only and excludes private account analytics.
