How to use this tool
To merge images, add two or more photos, choose Side by side or Top to bottom, and download the combined PNG. In a row every image is matched to the same height, in a column to the same width, so the photos line up cleanly without cropping or stretching. It’s the quick way to make before-and-after shots, product comparisons, long screenshots and step-by-step guides for social media.
- 01
Add your images
Click Choose files and pick 2 to 20 images (JPG, PNG or WebP). Choosing more files later adds them to the end of the list. The list order is the order in the image; use the arrow next to a file name to move it earlier.
- 02
Pick layout, gap and background
Side by side joins the images in a row at the same height; Top to bottom stacks them in a column at the same width. Gap (px) adds 0 to 200 px of space between them, filled with the Background color.
- 03
Download
The merged image updates as you change settings, with its pixel size shown above the preview. Click Download to save merged-image.png.
How sizing works
Each image is matched to the smallest height in a row or the smallest width in a column, keeping its own proportions. The merged image can be up to 16,000 px long and 40 megapixels; larger combinations are scaled to fit automatically, gap included.
Ideas for creators and marketers
• Before and after: two photos side by side • Product comparisons or color options in a row • Long screenshots stacked into one tall image • Step-by-step tutorials from top to bottom • Panoramas from several phone shots To fit an exact Instagram, TikTok or YouTube size afterwards, run the result through the social media image resizer.
Merge, collage or carousel?
Merging makes one strip of images. For a grid with several rows, use the photo collage maker. To split one wide image into swipeable slides, use the Instagram carousel splitter.
Frequently asked questions
How do I merge images into one?
1. Click Choose files and add two or more images. 2. Choose Side by side or Top to bottom, and set the gap. 3. Click Download to save the merged PNG.
How many images can I combine?
From 2 up to 20 images in one merged picture.
Can I change the order?
Yes. Use the arrow next to a file name to move it earlier in the list. To send a file to the end, remove it with × and choose it again.
What if my images have different sizes?
They’re matched automatically: the same height in a row, the same width in a column. The smallest image sets the size, so every photo stays sharp.
Can I add space between the images?
Yes. Set Gap (px) from 0 to 200, and the space is filled with the Background color, white by default.
Does merging keep image quality?
Yes. The result is saved as a lossless PNG. Larger images are scaled to match the smallest one so the edges line up.
Can I merge images vertically?
Yes. Choose Top to bottom to stack them in a column, like a long screenshot.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The images are combined in your browser and stay on your device.
How large can the merged image be?
Up to 16,000 px on the long side and 40 megapixels. Bigger combinations are scaled to fit automatically.
Is it free?
Yes. No signup, no watermark and no limit on how many images you merge.
