How to use this tool
A slideshow is a quick way to post a product lineup, trip highlights or a before-and-after series as one video. This tool places up to 20 photos in order on a 1280 × 720 frame, shows each for the number of seconds you choose and exports an MP4. It keeps things simple, with no transitions, music or text, so the result is easy to finish in another app.
- 01
Select your photos
Click Choose files and select up to 20 JPG, PNG or WebP images at once. Choosing files again replaces the current list.
- 02
Set the order and timing
Use the up arrow next to a file to move it earlier and the X to remove it. Enter Seconds per photo, from 0.1 to 30.
- 03
Create and download
Click Create file, play the slideshow, then click Download to save slideshow.mp4.
When to make a photo slideshow
• Show a product range or new collection in one post • Share event, trip or wedding photos as a short video • Turn a carousel into a video for platforms that favor video • Present before-and-after photos in sequence
Slideshow settings explained
• Seconds per photo: 0.1 to 30, the same for every image • Order: files play top to bottom as listed; the up arrow moves a photo earlier • Length: number of photos × seconds per photo, so 10 photos at 3 seconds make 30 seconds • Frame: 1280 × 720 at 15 frames per second; photos are scaled to fit, with black bars where shapes differ
Tips for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
• The output is landscape 16:9, so vertical photos get black bars on both sides • For a full-screen vertical post, crop the photos and build the slideshow in the app instead • 2–3 seconds per photo gives viewers time to look without dragging • Add music in TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, or with SocQ’s Add Audio to Video tool
Formats and limits
• Input: JPG, PNG and WebP images, up to 20 photos, 100 MB each and 200 MB in total • Output: silent MP4 (H.264), 1280 × 720 • No transitions, pan-and-zoom, text or built-in music • Speed depends on your device; the first run downloads the video engine once
Frequently asked questions
What is a slideshow maker?
A slideshow maker turns a series of still photos into a video that shows them one after another. This one arranges up to 20 photos on a 1280 × 720 frame, holds each for the time you set and exports an MP4 you can post or edit further.
How do I make a slideshow from photos for free?
1. Click Choose files and select your photos. 2. Reorder them with the up arrows. 3. Enter Seconds per photo. 4. Click Create file, then click Download.
How long will my slideshow be?
Multiply the number of photos by Seconds per photo. Eight photos at 1.5 seconds make a 12-second video, and the maximum is 20 photos at 30 seconds each, or 10 minutes.
Can I add music to the slideshow?
The slideshow is exported without sound. Run the MP4 through SocQ’s Add Audio to Video tool to add your own track, or pick a sound when you post on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube.
Can I add transitions or text to the slides?
No. Each photo cuts straight to the next with no fades, zoom effects or captions. Add text afterward with SocQ’s Add Text to Video tool, or use a full editor if you need transitions.
What happens to vertical or square photos?
Every photo is scaled to fit inside the 1280 × 720 frame without cropping, and the empty space is filled with black. Vertical and square photos therefore appear with bars on the left and right.
Is it free, and is there a watermark?
Yes, it’s free and works without an account. The slideshow contains only your photos; SocQ doesn’t place a watermark, logo or end card on it.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The video is assembled by FFmpeg running in your browser, so your photos are read and encoded on your device and aren’t sent to SocQ. Your browser fetches the video engine on the first run and reuses it afterward.
What image formats and how many photos can I use?
You can add JPG, PNG and WebP images, up to 20 per slideshow, with each file under 100 MB and all files under 200 MB together. The result is an H.264 MP4 at 1280 × 720 and 15 frames per second.
Can I make a slideshow on my phone?
Yes. Open the page in your phone’s browser, tap Choose files and select photos from your gallery, then fix the order with the arrows. Encoding happens on the phone, so many large photos take longer than on a computer.
