How to use this tool

Cross out text anywhere you can type. This generator adds Unicode combining lines to each character, so the strikethrough keeps its look wherever you paste it: captions, bios, comments, product posts and chats. How Unicode strikethrough works

Unicode includes combining characters that draw over the character before them. The long stroke overlay (U+0336) draws a line through the middle, the long solidus (U+0338) draws a slash, and the low line marks (U+0332 and U+0333) draw underlines. The generator adds one mark after every character, which is why the effect survives copy and paste.

Ways to use crossed-out text

Strikethrough in Discord, WhatsApp and Slack
