How to use this tool

This voice changer is a pitch shifter: it raises or lowers the pitch of an uploaded recording and corrects the speed so the length stays about the same. There are no preset characters or robot effects; you control one number, the pitch multiplier. Processing runs in your browser with FFmpeg and exports an MP3.

  1. 01

    Click Choose files

Pick a voice recording or a video with speech, up to 100 MB and 10 minutes. If you don’t have a file yet, make one with the voice recorder first.

  2. 02

    Set Pitch multiplier

A value of 1 keeps the original pitch. Try 1.25 for higher or 0.8 for deeper; the allowed range is 0.5 to 2.

  3. 03

    Click Process audio and listen

Play the MP3, adjust the multiplier if the voice sounds too extreme, and click Download when it sounds right.

Pitch multiplier in plain words

• 1.0: the original voice • 1.25: about four semitones higher, lighter and younger-sounding • 1.5 to 2.0: cartoon or chipmunk voice; 2.0 is one octave up • 0.8: about four semitones lower, deeper • 0.5 to 0.7: very deep, monster-like; 0.5 is one octave down

What this tool can and can’t do

• Changes pitch while keeping the duration close to the original • Works on uploaded audio or the sound of a video • No presets such as robot, echo or celebrity voices • No real-time voice changing for calls or games

Uses for social content

• Disguise your natural voice in a faceless video • Create a character voice for a skit • Move a music snippet to a different key for practice • Make a playful voice for a meme

Output and limits

• MP3 at 192 kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo • One file at a time, up to 100 MB and 10 minutes • Big shifts change the voice’s character, because the vocal resonances move with the pitch

Frequently asked questions

What is an online voice changer?

An online voice changer alters how a voice sounds without installing software. This one changes pitch: it makes a recording higher or lower while correcting the speed so the length stays about the same. It works on files you choose, not on a live microphone.

How do I change my voice online?

1. Click Choose files and select your recording. 2. Enter a Pitch multiplier, such as 0.8 for deeper or 1.25 for higher. 3. Click Process audio. 4. Listen to the MP3 and click Download.

Which voice effects are included?

Only pitch shifting. There are no preset voices such as robot, alien or celebrity, and no AI voice cloning. You can still get a range of styles by choosing different multipliers between 0.5 and 2.

Is my voice recording uploaded?

No. FFmpeg processes the file inside your browser, so your voice stays on your device. Only the FFmpeg engine is downloaded once from a public CDN and then cached.

Is the voice changer free and without a watermark?

Yes. It’s free, adds no sound tag and has no daily limit. Each file can be up to 100 MB and 10 minutes long, and you can try as many multipliers on the same file as you like.

Does changing pitch also change the speed or length?

Not noticeably. The tool resamples the audio to move the pitch, then applies a tempo correction that brings the duration back to the original. Large shifts can still add a slightly grainy texture.

What format is the changed voice saved in?

An MP3 at 192 kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo, named pitch-audio.mp3. If you started from a video, only the changed audio is exported, so put it back on the video in an editor.

Can I use it live on Discord, Zoom or in games?

No. It processes recorded files only. Record your lines with the online voice recorder, change the pitch here, then share or use the finished file.

Why does my voice sound like a chipmunk or a monster?

That’s what a large multiplier does. Pitch shifting also moves the resonances that give a voice its character, so high values sound cartoonish and low values sound monstrous. Stay between 0.8 and 1.25 for a more natural change.

Does the voice changer work on phones?

Yes, in current mobile browsers such as Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. Short clips process quickly on most phones, while files close to 10 minutes are faster on a computer.
